FELABRATION OCTOBER 16TH

Every year Spread Love host FELABRATION in tribute to the legendary FELA KUTI. It is a jammed packed event. Here are some pics of the evening :

October 9th and 10th Asheville

This weekend I was supposed to go to the Hair Show in Ohio but universe had different plans. I am so glad it changed bcuz I got to go to Asheville NC with my good friend Jaha to celebrate her Birthday weekend YEAAA!!!! We had sooooo much fun.

October 2 & 3rd Philly Locks Conference

I went to Philly this weekend to do the Locks conference, I can say this was a lesson to be learned, I made the money back I put out but that is definitely not good enough for out of town events. Any time there are vendors on the inside and outside and you have to be placed outside don't do the event. smh Some event organizers don't think about all the odds to having vendors outside when all the activities are inside where everyone is going to be, they just want to get some extra money. Nevertheless if the vendor is not happy we won't come back to that event. If we could just have a world with not so greedy organizers and they were concerned with the profit being made by a vendor. Ohhh well just a thought :-) here are some pics....

Wednesday September 29th

On Friday I received a call from one of my wholesale clients that I supplied with my towels when I lived in Brooklyn. I was so glad to hear from The House of KEMET in DC. YEEEAAA I had lost their number when igot a replacement phone. A friend of mine that makes body products supplies them with products too so she gave them my number yeaaa :-) here is me getting ready to send out their order. :-)

September 25th BAZAAR NOIR EQUINOX

BAZAAR NOIR is an event that me and one of my friends Jamila have every 2 months. My friend Jaha has one of those Beautiful, Fabulous, Historic Houses in the West End, in Atlanta. This is where the BN is held. I love this house it has so much character :-). It all started last year we all at one of my friends house at a gathering and I told Jamila come we need to be having a tea party or some type of event in someone house( Thats what we called them in Brooklyn) It when you have several different vendors thru out the house selling their products and its such a pleasant more personal vibe than being at a large humungous event. So last October we spoke to my friend Jaha and she agreed to let us have it at her home. I named the first one SHOP IT UP!!! CHOP IT UP!!! :-) it was so cute small and quant, once we put the pics on facebook it took off from there it became larger and more interested each time. I select only vendors that have different products, no duplicate merchandise. We also feature The OHM SUITE that consist of some doing massage therapy, aqua chi-foot detox, ear candling and body products, and the other feature is the MAKE UP MAGIC ROOM with an Make up artist and a Photographer. When people come to BN we want them to have a experience not just a place where some vendors got together to sell their products, you know what I mean :-) here are some pics .....
